Derivation Method for Optimal Request Forwarding Ratio in Edge Computing Considering Latency and Concurrent Connections

(in English) In recent years, distributed container deployment over a wide area using Kubernetes has been required in edge computing environments.
However, dynamic load balancing that takes into account communication latency between locations and fluctuations in the number of concurrent connections has not been fully realized, and request forwarding is an issue.
In this study, we propose a method for dynamically optimizing the transfer ratio of requests to distributed servers, taking into account communication latency and load conditions.
We model the forwarding ratio that achieves the maximum throughput using latency and the number of concurrent connections, and predict the throughput
throughput prediction.
Comparison of model predictions with measured data shows that the proposed method can provide accurate predictions even in unknown latency environments.
This method dynamically takes into account the latency and connection load between locations, and aims to improve throughput and efficient use of resources.
