Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) A single-session traffic model has been proposed to assign a voice payload size (VPS) to each VoIP user for resource-constrained environments. However, this model does not account for languages other than English, cannot follow real traffic, and lacks flexibility in selecting VPS. In this study, we propose a finite-state traffic model derived from general probability distributions by approximating the state transition probabilities as zero in cases where the continuous probability is negligible in ON and OFF durations. This enables the construction of a model closer to real traffic that can be applied to languages other than English. Moreover, the model supports arbitrary VPSs because the discretization interval can be set arbitrarily based on the assumption of continuous probability distributions.
