In magnetic coupling wireless power transfer, the ηmax kQ theoretical formula that indicates maximum transmission efficiency is very useful. This is a theoretical formula when there is one pair of transmitting and receiving coils. Author hypothesized a similar theoretical formula would also hold for multiple magnetic coupling. Already attempted to construct an extended ηmax kQ theoretical formula for 1:many and many:1 transmitting and receiving coils, and identified a formula that matches the theoretical value under limited conditions. In this study, conducted a detailed investigation of the efficiency characteristics, load voltage, and load power characteristics in relation to the arrangement position and number of repeater coils in a repeater coil array method. As a result, it was able to identify an extended ηmax kQ theoretical formula that is close to the true value from the efficiency characteristics. Then, gained some interesting knowledge into the efficiency, load voltage, and load power characteristics in relation to the arrangement position and number of repeater coils. |
