Tourist Driving Route Optimization Incorporating Congestion-Based Travel Time Variations

(in English) This paper proposes a novel method for optimizing tourist routes by incorporating dynamic factors—such as traffic congestion and delays—in addition to static information like the operating hours, duration of stay, and user satisfaction at various tourist spots. By fixing the starting and ending points and considering various constraints such as lunch, dinner, and café visits, the approach quantifies the uncertainty in travel times using discretized probability distributions (Dirac delta, normal, and Poisson distributions) in 5-minute intervals, thereby reflecting real-world congestion conditions to achieve flexible route planning. Moreover, metaheuristic methods such as simulated annealing, tabu search, and beam search are tested separately to evaluate the effectiveness of each approach. In addition, the system incorporates a visual route display feature using the Google Maps API, and experimental results confirm that incorporating congestion into the planning contributes to generating flexible and practical schedules that closely mirror real-world conditions.
