When evaluating radiated emissions, the shielding characteristic of cable used for power supply and wired communication are crucial.~Triple coaxial method is known as a method to measure the shielding characteristic.~The triple coaxial method can measure the ratio of signal injected into the cable and the signal leaked from the shield to the outside of the cable,~as described in the IEC62153-4 series.~This signal ratio is defined as the shielding characteristic of the cable to be measured.~In this study,~the shielding characteristics of automotive high-voltage cables connecting the battery and power equipment were evaluated using the triple coaxial method.~The conducted noise emitted by power equipment is significant not only in common mode but also in differential mode.~Therefore,~in addition to the shielding characteristic for common mode injection that can be evaluated by the conventional triple coaxial method.~A method for simultaneously measuring the shielding characteristics under common-mode and differential-mode injection was proposed.~Furthermore,~a jig was developed to evaluate this method to measure the differential-mode shielding characteristics as well.~In order to verify the measurement accuracy of the developed jig.~Measurements using three types of jigs with different lengths were compared to determine the signal leakage per unit length of the cable.~In addition,~the shielding characteristics of each of the common mode and differential mode were evaluated. |
