Distributed Online Proximal Gradient Method over Open Networks

(in English) This article considers distributed online optimization in multi-agent systems, considering $ell^1$-regularized problems that account for variations in the number of agents at each time step. Each agent possesses a local cost function that can be accessed only by itself. By exchanging information with neighboring agents in the network, each agent estimates a solution that minimizes the sum of the local cost functions using the information available up to the current time step. we propose a distributed online proximal gradient algorithm for open multi-agent systems. Moreover, we derive sufficient conditions under which the regret concerning the objective function becomes sublinear with the proposed algorithm. Furthermore, numerical experiments demonstrate that the agents' estimates approach the optimal solution.
