In the 6th generation mobile communication system(6G), studies are being conducted to use the 100 Gbps or more ultra-high speed and large capacity communications by utilizing the sub-terahertz band, which is a frequency band above 100 GHz. In addition, it is considered that the use of the midband, which ranges from 7 GHz to 24 GHz, will be used for coverage purposes. Furthermore, considering implementation costs and stream interference, the introduction of hybrid beamforming has been proposed to compensate for the significant path loss characteristics of high frequencies. Previously, we have evaluated the transmission characteristics of the midband prior to its usage in practice. This report uses the color image method of wireless propagation analysis to obtain channel information about Yokosuka city and calculates throughput at various locations using this information. We then evaluate the coverage performance of the midband and propose an optimal antenna configuration for the purpose of ensuring coverage, taking into account the number of antenna elements and digital ports. |
