A radial line curl array antenna radiating Gaussian beam for 24-GHz-band fixed wireless power transmission

(in English) Beam-based wireless power transmission using the 24-GHz band has attracted attention as a highly efficient wireless power transmission method. By generating a Gaussian beam from a large transmit antenna and placing a small receiver antenna in the near field region, low divergence and highly efficient wireless power transmission is possible. In this paper, based on the characteristics of the Gaussian beam, we calculate the number of radiating elements, their locations, as well as the amplitude and phase distribution and coupling required for the aperture plane of the transmitting antenna, and design a radial line curl array antenna for fixed wireless power transmission in the 24 GHz band. Curl-type radiating elements are used as radiating elements, and the desired aperture distribution is reproduced by arbitrarily adjusting the radiation phase according to the arrangement angle of the elements. We have analyzed the electromagnetic field of 36 curl-type radiating elements arranged in a row, and confirmed that the desired amplitude and phase distribution can be achieved
