Plug-and-Play-Based Receiver Design for Grant-Free NOMA in the Presence of Carrier Frequency Offsets

(in English) This paper proposes a receiver design for grant-free non-orthogonal multiple access (GF-NOMA) using low-density signature orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (LDS-OFDM) that can compensate for the effects of carrier frequency offset (CFO). The proposed receiver integrates a plug-and-play (PnP) framework, in which parts of the model-based algorithms are replaced by machine learning, to enhance the accuracy of active user detection (AUD) and channel estimation (CE). The proposed receiver performs an initial CFO estimation using a grid-based method and refines the residual CFO through an expectation-maximization algorithm, with the PnP-based AUD and CE that exploit the structure of the transmitted signals. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed receiver achieves highly accurate AUD and CE even in the presence of CFO.
