In recent years, the dramatic improvement in computer performance has led to the design of electronic devices and electrical equipment using numerical analysis methods. In particular, transient response analysis of electromagnetic fields is used in the protective design of electrical equipment for electrical accidents and disasters caused by lightning surges, using FDTD (Finite Difference Time Domain) and equivalent circuit models. FILT (Fast Inverse Laplace Transform) method has been used for electromagnetic field analysis as one of the effective analysis methods for transient response analysis, and is a method to transform a function in the complex frequency domain into the time domain. Compared to the inverse Laplace transform, FILT method has the advantage of controllable computation accuracy. In the analysis using FILT method, the waveforms that can be mathematically obtained as functions in the time domain and complex frequency domain have been treated as incident waves or wave sources. However, even if real time waveforms of electrical signals or excitation pulses are obtained in actual measurements, it is sometimes difficult to express the waveforms in terms of mathematical functions. Therefore, when using transient response analysis by FILT method, it is necessary to approximate the waveform to an incident waveform for which a function in the complex frequency domain can be easily obtained and analysed. In this paper, discrete Laplace transform based on the poles of the approximated exponential function used in FILT method is proposed. |
