In space situational awareness, alongside optical camera observations, estimating position and velocity using radio waves is a crucial element. To monitor satellites in various orbits using radio waves from an on-orbit satellite, technologies capable of simultaneously estimating the direction of arrival (DoA) of radio waves from all directions are extremely effective. This study proposes a method for omnidirectional DoA estimation of radio signals by utilizing a three-dimensional array antenna mounted on a satellite as an interferometric sensor. To validate the principle of the proposed technique, we conducted acoustic experiments based on the analogy between electromagnetic and acoustic wave propagation, and present experimental results demonstrating its effectiveness. |
