In generating images by deep neural networks, it is important to obtain diverse outputs from the same input conditions for creative applications. Although BicycleGAN enables diversity using latent vectors, its variations in actual output images are often limited. In order to solve this problem, a method to reflect the difference of latent vectors clearly to the generated images, emphasizing the diversity, is proposed by introducing the Mode Seeking Regularization term in MSGAN into the loss function of BicycleGAN. Experiments on coloring anime line drawings show that our method improves both color diversity and image quality compared to conventional methods. |
