Ray tracing methods are approaches to estimate propagation properties that take into account the surrounding environment. 3D models are required to implement ray tracing methods. In the case of evaluating complex structures or large areas, the calculation cost of ray tracing methods increases as the data of the 3D models. On the other hand, when structures are simulated with simple geometry, the accuracy of the propagation properties becomes an issue. This study proposes a method for constructing an outdoor 3D model suitable for ray tracing from the PLATEAU 3D models. |
