In this paper, the sound field radiated from moving point source arrays is theoretically derived and implemented in a three-dimensional finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. The directivity of the moving point source arrays is theoretically obtained by considering the phase differences between each source in the three-dimensional sound field. The moving point source arrays are then implemented in the three-dimensional FDTD method, then numerical simulations were conducted. It was confirmed that the FDTD method can compute the directivity of the moving point source arrays with an error of only a few percent at frequencies below 1,kHz for source velocities up to Mach number of 0.4. Furthermore, it was shown that the influence of source velocity on directivity increases with increasing velocity. In particular, the influence of velocity on directivity becomes more pronounced as the number of point sources increases. These results confirm that the proposed method can be effectively applied to directivity analysis of moving point source arrays with good accuracy. |
