Study on security function on space business

(in English) In recent years, the threat of cybersecurity in the space domain, particularly focusing on attacks against satellites, has been increasing. The number of attacks on satellites has been rising annually, prompting initiatives such as the establishment of Space ISAC in the United States to share cybersecurity information within the space domain. In securing space business, it is essential to consider factors such as long-term operation, remote operation, limited computational resources, and communication constraints.
This paper summarizes the preliminary examination results of security functions that should be considered in the space domain from two perspectives: communication protection and cyber-attack countermeasures. Additionally, it proposes a framework for determining the prioritization of these countermeasures. Furthermore, the applicability of cyber-physical security measures used on the ground to space business is also discussed.
