In the fifth generation (5G) mobile communication systems, the standardization of multi-transmission and reception point (multi-TRP) technology has been actively promoted to enhance the channel capacity. However, the use of multiple base stations can lead to spatial spreading of transmission signals, thereby increasing the risk of eavesdropping. This paper proposes a novel method that simultaneously achieves physical layer security and transmission efficiency in Multi-TRP systems by multiplying the transmitted signal with a pseudo-random chaotic phase signal generated based on additional data and a shared key at the transmitter. Through numerical simulations, we demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms a conventional method that employs two types of quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) constellations for additional data transmission, in terms of both security and throughput performance. |
