Consideration of Use Cases for Autonomous Vehicles e-HMI and Construction of VR Experiment Environment

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page) 
(in English) Research and development of an external human machine interface (eHMI), which is used as a substitute for communication between an automated vehicle and surrounding traffic participants, is underway. In this study, after considering the use cases of eHMI, we constructed an experimental environment in which we can compare and verify the reactions to various eHMIs in a virtual space using an HMD for cases that may actually occur.
