Consideration of on-demand video streaming using video frame interpolation

(in English) Inthispaper, weproposeanon-demandvideostreamingmethodthatusesvideoframeinterpolation (VFI) to reduce the video data size in video streaming while maintaining the user’s quality of experience. We propose an algorithm that uses Structural Similarity (SSIM) to determine the video quality and assess the necessity of frame interpolation for pre-encoded video segments. In the evaluation, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method by measuring the video data size and SSIM to evaluate the user’s quality of experience.
