Underwater acoustic communications (UWACs) suffer from severe time and frequency selectivity, i.e., double selectivity. For frequency selectivity, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) with large cyclic prefix (CP) is a good solution. This paper reveals demodulation direction should be restricted to time axis for OFDM with large CP. This paper discusses interval of pilot symbols for coherent OFDM. Next, this paper discusses channel prediction of multiple differential detection. Finally, this paper makes a performance comparison between coherent OFDM and differential OFDM. |
