Using LoRa modulation, it is difficult to simultaneously receive signals of the same spreading factor. To address this, Variable Bandwidth LoRa (VBW-LoRa) has been shown to reduce the symbol error rate in environments where multiple LoRa signals are multiplexed. However, even with VBW-LoRa, signals transmitted from far away from the gateway may be lost due to the near-far problem. Moreover, the feasibility of time synchronization for VBW-LoRa as well as the impact of interference on demodulation performance after time synchronization has not yet been clarified. We focus on the demodulation performance of superimposed VBW-LoRa signals after time synchronization. By evaluating the impact of the signal-to-interference ratio on this performance through simulation, we clarify the interference characteristics to establish a basis for future parameter control. |
