In disaster scenarios, centralized traffic-information services that rely on cellular base stations are susceptible to sudden outages when those stations fail. Decentralized, vehicle-to-vehicle information-sharing systems offer greater fault tolerance, yet remain vulnerable to the injection of false reports. This study introduces a majority-vote algorithm that judges road availability by aggregating reports from multiple senders, thereby providing resilience against false information. Simulation experiments show that, when no counter-measure is applied, injected false reports substantially degrade both travel time and travel distance. By deploying the proposed algorithm, those impacts are reduced to a statistically significant degree. A direct comparison between the systems with and without the counter-measure confirms that the differences in travel time and distance are statistically significant, verifying the effectiveness of the proposed method under malicious information attacks. |
