Improvement of Three-Dimensional Music Playback Evaluation Method for In-playback Use by Measuring Using Music Signals and Reducing Calculation

(in English) In our previous research, a three-dimensional music playback evaluation method has been developed, utilizing a time-stretched pulse (TSP) signal as a test tone and recording the signal using an Ambisonics microphone. This method enables the analysis and visualization of the acoustic playback condition at the listening position during music playback by audio equipment. In this study, to achieve a real-time analysis, we propose a method that enables music playback evaluation using music signals and accelerates processing speed by improving the analysis algorithm. Through a music playback evaluation experiment for stereo loudspeaker misalignment, we confirmed that our proposed method, which utilizes a music signal, can accurately analyze the misalignment condition, comparable to the previous method using the TSP signal. Moreover, we achieved a reduction in processing time of approximately 54% with equivalent accuracy in music playback evaluation.
