CWDM bidirectional single fiber transmission experiment using installed Hollow-core fiber cables.

(in English) The Hollow-core fiber (HCF) cable installed at Keio University Shin-Kawasaki campus is a photonic bandgap fiber (PBGF) type. This PBGF-HCF has multiple passing windows in the 1,500 nm wavelength band. In single-fiber bidirectional coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM) communications, multiple wavelengths with large wavelength intervals are used, so the relationship between the passing windows of the PBGF-HCF and the transmitting and receiving wavelengths becomes a critical issue. In this paper, we report the results of a transmission experiment using commercially available 10GBASE CWDM SFP+ modules over a field installed PBGF-HCF with multiple passing windows.
