Formulation of Cache Quality in Distributed Cooperative Color Caching

(in English) With the rapid increase in demand for radio waves accompanying the widespread adoption of mobile devices, technologies that effectively reduce the load on base stations and their upstream traffic are needed. As an alternative to strengthening communication infrastructure, D2D communication, where devices directly transmit data to each other without going through a base station, is being explored. However, the operation of D2D caching networks critically depends on user cooperation, and network designs that encourage this cooperation are required. This paper proposes a method for recruiting only a small number of user devices to act as D2D cache servers. We quantify the cached data of user devices as quality and attempt to select user devices with a higher probability of contributing to others through D2D communication. Initial simulation results confirm that this approach enables superior network operation compared to random device selection for server placement.
