(in English) In recent years, AI has brought about significant societal transformations driven by deep learning and generative AI models based on large-scale neural networks. This lecture will introduce two promising technologies: the neuromorphic computer, which is gaining attention as a potential AI accelerator that surpasses GPUs and aims to enable super intelligent information processing beyond conventional AI paradigms, and in-memory computing (IMC/Compute-in-Memory; CiM), one core of the neuromorphic technologies that is nearing practical implementation. This lecture presents recent 10 years developments and future prospects of these technologies while discussing cross-layer challenges in materials, devices, circuits, architectures, algorithms, and applications.
