[Poster Presentation] Estimation of Propagation Characteristics in Non-Line-of-Sight Environments over Intersections using a Large Number of Intersection Models

(in English) In recent years, due to factors such as the aging population, the demand for the implementation of autonomous driving technologies has been increasing. and the use of the 760 MHz band ITS communication system as a communication method is being considered. Using such systems need communication between roadside and vehicle is indispensable for understanding the service coverage area. In particular, the Non-Line-of-Sight environment over urban intersections is greatly affected by urban structures and is dominated by complex reflected and diffracted waves, making it difficult to characterize radio propagation characteristics. In this paper, in order to reproduce a variety of urban environments, a large number of standardized intersection models were generated by applying coordinate rotation and transformation to a parcel model of Kyoto Prefecture based on the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan basic map information. The ray tracing simulation of radio propagation using these models showed a strong correlation between the slopes and the intercepts of the logarithmic approximation of the received power intensity.
