(in English) This study investigates a 64-beam multiplexing transmission system in the non-far-region using a lens and a 2D beam-switching Butler matrix. The evaluation of the interference level between beams is essential for the optimal placement of the lens.
In this report, as a feasibility study, we examine a one-dimensional model for 8 multiplexing with 16 elements. We introduce interference reduction by controlling the crossover and sidelobe levels using out-of-phase two-way dividers as an additional circuit to the Butler matrix. The radiation patterns are currently calculated under a far-field assumption. The desired and interference powers of each beam are calculated by integrating the radiated power density to evaluate the signal-to-interference ratio.
