| 抄録 | （和） | This study investigates the structural dynamics of the Indian automobile industry, focusing on the central role played by MARUTI (Suzuki India Limited) and its long-term strategy of nurturing local suppliers. By applying time-series clustering to market capitalization data from 22 Indian automobile-related companies between 2011 and 2014, we analyze the similarity in stock price fluctuation patterns across the industry. Our findings reveal that MARUTI served as a core origin in 2011, with its price movement patterns closely mirrored by a wide range of industry participants. However, this centrality weakened in 2012 following the violent labor incident at MARUTI's Manesar plant. Then a recovery of MARUTI's influence was observed in 2013, but the degree of similarity among firms decreased, suggesting that MARUTI’s suppliers were developing greater independence. In 2014, distinct clusters emerged, indicating a structural diversification in the industry. This research provides quantitative evidence of MARUTI’s foundational influence and highlights the evolution of the suppliers. |
