The range of underwater acoustic communication is determined by the amount of energy attenuation associated with sound wave propagation, which varies depending on water depth and seafloor topography. In this study, we report an analysis of acoustic wave propagation reflecting seafloor topography using the parabolic equation (PE) method and an evaluation of acoustic communication simulation in shallow water based on the analysis data. |
