We have developed color vision simulator based on the optical properties of the eye's lens, macular pigment, and retinal cones, with the aim of contributing to the understanding of various visual characteristics and providing necessary support. In this study, we examined the application of two data-driven methods to reconstruct and estimate the spectral distribution of each pixel in commonly used sRGB images. The results obtained with both reconstruction methods indicated that the simulated color images generated based on the dichromatic trichromacy model exhibited minor differences but were largely consistent with the original spectral images. Analysis of chromaticity estimation errors at each simulation stage revealed complementary tendencies in the accuracy of the two reconstruction methods. Combining the two methods is expected to improve the accuracy of the simulation. |
