(in English) In recent years, the demand for high-speed underwater communication has been increasing, and underwater visible light communication (UW-VLC) has attracted considerable attention. In particular, to realize unmanned and efficient operations for the installation and maintenance of offshore wind power facilities, there is a need for a communication system capable of accommodating multiple remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) simultaneously, and operable in shallow waters where the influence of sunlight is significant. In this study, we focus on area-type UW-VLC, which provides hotspot-like coverage within a range of several to several tens of meters around an access point (AP), and present an example of the communication system configuration and the results of computer simulations evaluating its performance.
