In the sixth-generation mobile communication system (6G), communication with extremely high data rates exceeding 100 Gbps is required, and the New Radio Network Topology (NRNT) has been proposed to realize this goal. Meanwhile, visible light communication (VLC), which utilizes visible light with a wide bandwidth of approximately 370 THz, is an optical wireless communication technology capable of providing extremely high data rate transmission. However, VLC faces challenges such as short transmission distance and limited coverage. This study proposes the integration of VLC into NRNT for 6G. In this report, we evaluate a use case in an exhibition hall through simulation and demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach based on the results. |
