The development of non-terrestrial networks (NTNs) demands small, light and high-gain antennas. This study proposes a dual-band antenna that combines a high-speed Ka band and a medium-frequency band that is resistant to rain attenuation. To overcome the limitations of the conventional design, the circular polarization elements of both bands are integrated on a single substrate. This time, we focus on the suppression of mutual coupling and the simultaneous achievement of stable circular polarization characteristics. Although simulations show resonances in individual bands, the control of inter-band interactions for practical application is a major challenge. |
