Propagation model development and enhancement for wireless emulator

(in English) Research and development efforts are currently underway to realize a wireless emulator capable of large-scale and high-accuracy emulation of wireless communication schemes and radio wave propagation characteristics within a virtual environment. Multiple usage scenarios for wireless systems deployed in virtual space are being considered, and propagation models tailored to each scenario have been developed to facilitate accurate radio wave simulation. This paper presents the propagation models available for use with the wireless emulator and discusses approaches for improving modeling accuracy. Furthermore, it describes the procedure for constructing propagation models required to support emulation in newly defined environments. The development of wireless communication simulation software utilizing the outputs of the wireless emulator is also introduced.
