A heat‐resistant circularly polarized microstrip antenna was designed for in-furnace radar monitoring. Using a cordierite substrate and sintered ceramic-coated silver conductor, in-situ measurements up to 500 °C demonstrated stable operation near 5.3 GHz. The center frequency shifted by about 135 MHz from 20 °C to 500 °C, mainly due to the temperature-dependent permittivity of cordierite, but remained within the 1320 MHz impedance and 890 MHz axial-ratio bandwidths. The proposed design proves suitable for high-temperature radar and sensing applications, including industrial pre-heater furnaces. |
