Recently, jamming and spoofing have occurred in various locations, affected aircraft operations. Therefore, positioning using Distance Measuring Equipment (DME) has been examined in case of GNSS losses. Although the accuracy and integrity of this method are largely affected by the ground stations geometry, the DME ground stations are installed for conventional navigation which provides only distance information to aircraft together with directions by VOR. So, in this study, the results of flight experiments verifying the validity of positioning with the current placement of ground stations. |
