Meteor burst communication is one of over-horizen communications that utilizes the reflection phenomenon of ionized gas columns left by meteors (meteor bursts). Meteor burst channel is a time-varying channel in which the received signal power changes over time. In this study, we investigate the effects of puncturing and channel paramater estimation on error rate performance when applying the low-density parity check (5G-LDPC) code, is adopted as one of the error correcting codes for the fifth-generation mobile communication system , to meteor burst communications. |
