Analysis Of Iodine Distribution In Perovskite Solar Cells Using X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy

(in English) The migration and accumulation of iodine in CH₃NH₃PbI₃ perovskite solar cells were investigated using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The two-dimensional distribution of iodine on the device surface was explored, and the depth profile from the top Ag electrode surface to the hole transport layer was obtained by combining XPS with Ar⁺ sputtering. A small amount of iodine was detected on both the Ag electrode and transport layer surfaces immediately after fabrication. Iodine was also found at the Ag electrode/transport layer interface, and it gradually diffused into the Ag electrode. Correlation with the temporal degradation of photovoltaic performance suggests that iodine on the Ag electrode surface has little impact on device characteristics, whereas iodine diffusion from the transport layer into the Ag electrode may contribute to electrode degradation.
