(in English) Digital images are often degraded by various types of noise that arise from imaging conditions and sensor charac
teristics. Mixed noise, which simultaneously occurs from Gaussian noise and impulse noise, represents a realistic noise model
commonly encountered in real environments. Conventional methods for removing mixed noise include the two-stage filtering
method and non-local processing based methods. However, these methods often suffer from excessive smoothing of fine details
and/or high computational cost. To cope with these problems, we propose a novel mixed-noise removal method that extends the
fast edge-preserving Cuboid filter by incorporating an impulse noise removal. Through experiments, we evaluate the effectiveness
of the proposed method both qualitatively and quantitatively compared with conventional methods.
