This paper studies stabilization of unstable periodic orbits in a boost converter: a typical circuits in switching power converters for renewable energy technique.
First, we consider a biobjective optimization problem in piecewise constant model of boost converters.
The first objective evaluates stability of circuit operation
and the second objective evaluates ripple in input current.
Using a piecewise constant modeling, we have clarifies the existence of a trade-off between the two objectives.
Second, we consider a stabilization method of unstable periodic orbits give smaller ripple (higher efficiency).
The method is based on application of higher frequency control signal and
the effectiveness is investigated precisely. |
