Inrecent years, physical reservoir computing (PRC), which implements reservoir layers using physical systems, has
been gaining attention.
However, PRC is known to depend on both the system and the task.
Furthermore, parameter tuning also greatly impacts its performance.
In this study, a model was proposed in which a physical system composed of van der Pol oscillators coupled via resistors serves as the reservoir layer.
The coupled oscillator system was calculated using computer simulation, and a spoken digit recognition task was performed using the proposed model.
The frequency, a parameter specific to the oscillator, was varied, and its effect was evaluated.
The results confirmed that recognition accuracy varied depending on the frequency, and that accuracy improved within a specific frequency range.
The importance of parameter tuning in the proposed model was revealed. |
