Antiferromagnetic materials (AFMs) are promising candidates for use in spintronic and terahertz (THz) devices because of their ultrafast spin dynamics. Direct experimental observation of sublattice magnetization is challenging and motivates numerical analysis. We developed a multiphysics simulation integrating the Landau–Lifshitz–Gilbert–Slonczewsk (LLGS) equations for AFM sublattices using Maxwell's equations, modeling a NiO thin film on platinum, where a spin-polarized current induces torque by the spin Hall effect. The results show that electromagnetic field coupling significantly affects the threshold current required to initiate and sustain AFM precession, highlighting the differences from single-physics simulations based on the LLGS equations. This framework provides a robust tool for analyzing the AFM spin dynamics and designing AFM-based spintronic and THz devices. Furthermore, the multiscale time-stepping model improves the computational efficiency. |
