Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA), which multiplexes users over the same wireless resources such as powerdomain, has attracted considerable attention for its potential to enhance network capacity in next-generation wireless systems. The NOMA user selection problem, which involves optimizing the multiplexing of user groups while accounting for user interference, is generally NP-hard, making the development of efficient methods a significant challenge. This study proposes an efficient user selection method based on determinant point processes (DPP) for uplink multi-cell NOMA networks. Furthermore, we propose a method for automatically learning the parameters of the kernel matrix used in DPP from the data. Simulation evaluations using artificial data demonstrate that the proposed method can efficiently improve communication performance. |
