A Study of Path-Finding Methods for Future Optical Networks with Consideration of Accommodatable Routes

(in English) In this study, we propose a novel path selection method for All-Photonics Network (APN) that enhances routing and spectrum assignment performance while mitigating slot utilization imbalance and achieving high accommodation efficiency. The proposed method improves route discovery by incorporating wavelength assignment conditions into the k-shortest paths framework. Among the discovered candidate paths, it selects the optimal one based on slot continuity and distribution characteristics, and applies First Fit assignment, enabling efficient resource usage even under highly congested network conditions. Simulation results show that the proposed method significantly increases the number of accommodated demands compared with conventional approaches, particularly in the 20–40% congestion range.
