A Preliminary Study on Bicycle Tracking Using Chirp in ISAC

(in English) In recent years, the proportion of bicycle accidents within the total number of traffic accidents has been on an upward trend, highlighting the urgent need for effective safety-support technologies.
Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC), which leverages existing communication infrastructure for sensing, has attracted considerable attention as a cost-effective solution that reduces the need for dedicated sensing infrastructure.
However, ISAC systems involve a resource trade-off between communication and sensing performance, and sensing performance inevitably becomes limited as communication demand increases, particularly in terms of the resolution of position and velocity estimation.
In this paper, we propose a method that enables high-precision tracking even under such resolution-limited conditions by leveraging temporal continuity in the tracking process.
Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in resource-constrained sensing environments.
