Stability Comparison of Subjective Quality Assessment in Adaptive Bitrate Video Streaming Between Elderly and Younger participants

(in English) In this paper, we conducted a subjective assessment experiment using videos containing major quality degradations(coding degradation, temporal variation of coding degradation, playback interruption) in an adaptive bitrate video streaming service, targeting participants aged 60 or older, and confirmed the stability of their subjective quality assessment. To compare the stability of the elderly participants with that of younger participants, we compared the Standard deviation of Opinion Scores (SOS) obtained in this experiment with those obtained in a similar experiment previously conducted with younger participants.As a result, we found that the SOS for the elderly participants was comparable to that for the younger participants.
