Time-domain precoding has emerged as a promising technique due to its low complexity. In this paper, we tackle the critical computational bottleneck arising from the multi-tap design of space-time block diagonal channel shortening (ST-BDCS), a time-domain precoding scheme realizing the concept of channel estimation considerate precoding. While this multi-tap approach enhances spectral efficiency (SE) by allowing multiple channel taps, it necessitates an iterative optimization involving SE and gradient calculations for every subcarrier, resulting in prohibitive complexity. In our simulations, we demonstrate that by applying deep unfolding to this computationally intensive optimization process of ST-BDCS, the need for SE calculations for every subcarrier is eliminated, thereby reducing complexity while accelerating convergence. Furthermore, by introducing a sampling process to the gradient calculations, the complexity was significantly reduced while maintaining nearly the same convergence speed as the conventional method. |
