Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This study focuses on designing a compact bolt-clamped Langevin transducer with a 4-mm square radiating surface for use in airborne ultrasonic phased arrays. Large transducer apertures in conventional airborne sensors often cause grating lobes, limiting beam steering capability. Finite element analysis was conducted by varying the screw material and structural dimensions to identify the configuration that maximizes longitudinal-mode selectivity. The results indicate that employing a duralumin screw with L_1=16.3" " and L_2=56.2" " minimizes mode coupling, demonstrating the feasibility of achieving both miniaturization and high directivity.
