Kool et al. proposed a method using an attention model to solve routing problems such as the traveling salesman problem (TSP). This model is trained using the REINFORCE algorithm, which uses the reward of a deterministic greedy policy as a baseline. In this study, we propose a method that compares the results of zeroth-order optimization and REINFORCE for the TSP problem and adopts the better result, with the aim of avoiding stagnation at a local optimum. |
