3D vascular centerline extraction from CT images is an important task for vascular structural analysis and surgical planning. Therefore, automating vascular extraction is desirable, and in recent years several deep-learning-based methods have been proposed to estimate vascular centerlines. However, because these are deterministic models, they are likely to produce anatomically unnatural centerlines. In this study, we propose a diffusion model for estimating vascular centerlines from 3D CT images. Evaluation on a public CT dataset showed that the proposed method achieved higher extraction accuracy and produced more anatomically natural vascular structures than conventional methods. |
